Photography with Opera Pizzazz!
Just prior to Waitangi Day I jetted down to Christchurch to photograph London based Kiwi Tenor Geoff Sewell. Geoff and his wife Simone were responsible for Amici Forever, the Opera Band which sold millions of CD worldwide. Geoff has now embarked on a solo career, and is due to release his first solo CD. I felt very honoured to photograph Geoff for his CD cover and promotional photography. In addition to photographing him around some fantastic Christchurch architecture I was also able to document some of him as one of the star attractions in Christchurch’s ASB Classical Sparks Concert in Hagley Park which attracted an audience of over 100,000. And I think Geoff was pretty pleased with the reults: “WOW we were blown away.”
Having heard various tracks from the new CD I can’t wait for its final release. The production and presentation are stunning.
