Chelle and Jeff’s 9/9/09 Wedding

Chelle and Jeff had one of the most entertaining weddings I have ever been to. It was a complete package that combined stagecraft and timing of complete perfection. Love, fun and friendship were to the fore.
I should not have been surprised. Chelle comes from a dance performance background, while Jeff has a pretty significant involvement with Wellington’s best staging production company Metro.
Victoria University’s Memorial Theatre was where Chelle and Jeff met. It was also the venue for their wedding ceremony. Their guests all arrived to “Act One ” by buses. This was also the first part of a Magical Mystery Tour, as their guests had no idea of where the ceremony was to be held!
The voice of Radio NZ, Hewitt Humphrey performed the ceremony with warmth, and his usual lovely delivery. Performance was the order of the day, and the ceremonies finale was style, combined with pyrotechnics . That was first for me at wedding ceremony, and I have seen a lot of weddings! It was a case of what was going to happen next!
Well next was “Act Two” where guests continued to be surprised, when the Magical Mystery Tour took them to the stunning Boomrock Lodge. Justine, Beccs, Nick and the Boomrock team entertained, and kept all well fed and watered with a raft of tasty delights. Chelle and Jeff’s arrival , again with breathtaking timing swooped in via Helipro, and to the cheers of all below. It was just fantastic.
In between it all Alicia and I gained some great shots. With the talent, scenery and spontaneity it could only be great. The evening concluded with some great dance moves courtesy of Chelle and Jeff. Chelle’s dress was a a stunning Alison Blain design, that was both classy and practical. What also was neat, was that during the speeches it was related that my late father, Ron Woolf had photographed both Chelle, and Jeff’s parents weddings when they were married. Photography by Woolf transcends generations. Our experience, passion for what we do, the quality and creativity we provide, and the value we have on offer, gives us a great base to work from. We have fun too, and that shows through in our photography.
