Doreen and Murray’s Renewal of Vows

It’s not every day that we get to photograph a couple who have been married almost 30 years, who renew their vows. Well today Doreen and Murray did just that. The Breeze initiated a competition to find a lucky, and willing couple, and were supported by a number of wedding related business leaders in Wellington.
Alice, and her team at The Intercontinental, provided the venue, and a sumptuous breakfast, while Harbour City Limos coll;ected Murray and Doreen bringing them to The Intercontinental in style. Rings were provided by Colin, and Pacific Jewellers, while Megan and her team at The Chocolate Cake Company provided a most delicious cake. Jacqui at Juliette Floriste designed a beautiful bouquet and table arrangement, while the amazing Fr Des Brittain performed the ceremony. Steve Jol, Natalie and The Breeze team were the continuity, which along with the guests made up of friends and family made for a lovely occasion, which contained a lot of laughter and fun.
There was a little bit of a Photography by Woolf link to the occasion as Doreen and Murray were guests, at Tanya and Jorn’s wedding last Sunday, and had been photographed by me in the big group outside Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Over the years we have photographed a number of renewing of vows ceremonies, and its a lovely way to recognise a milestone, and a really good excuse to have a party too!
