Caroline and Kenny’s Wedding.

Caroline and Kenny’s wedding had what I call “The Three Essential S’s”. The day was seamless, spontaneous and special. I love it when a good plan comes together, and then luck and good management also get together to ensure success.
From a weather pespective it was back to normal recent service. Gale force, swirling winds and constant drizzle. It mattered not, as we went for it. In fact we gained some great shots with the aid of a gust or two, and in the end the weather righted iteself just in time for the reception.
Old St Pauls was the venue for the ceremony. Most Wellingtonians know Old St Paul’s is a treasure, and a great place to get married. The lovely Mary Cotton performed the ceremony, and then it was off to Parliament, where we found shelter from the elements. I love wedding parties who play along with the day, don’t get daunted by the weather, and are determined to have fun, and we did today.
Photography by Woolf’s two camera policy played benefits big time too, as I had just completed a card in one camera, and Caroline’s veil started to go aerial! The second camera came into play, and we gained a whole series of spectacular shots as can be seen by the first photo on the blog. Many of our award winning photos have come from having a second camera at hand, and not relying on just one camera.
I enjoyed every bit of Caroline and Kenny’s wedding, from the time they booked Photography by Woolf, to some great engagement photos on Titahi Bay beach, through to the pre wedding preparations, and then the wedding itself. Even the speeches were awesome. Oh I nearly forgot. The amazing team at Wilton House with Anne Marie, Dave, Carla, TJ, and Toni, plus, all contributed to a great night. The theming of the reception area also had a huge wow factor which added to the specialness of the day.
