Bridget and Martin’s Wedding.

Bridget and Martin are a couple I had know for quite some time. It was a joy to participate in their wedding. I knew how much care and planning had gone into preparing for their “Big Day”, and it certainly all paid off as everyone relaxed, and had fun throughout the day. Martin is one of life’s true gentlemen, and is very sharing and caring, while Bridget is effervescent, and exceptionally well rounded, with a lovely warm personality. They are a perfect match. Bridget and Martin met through Ballroom Dancing, and as you can imagine dancing was quite an important theme within their wedding day. In fact I would go so far as to say their wedding dance was in the my top 5 all time wedding dances. It was just beautiful.
St Patricks Church in Kilbirnie was where the ceremony was held, where Father Matthew married Bridget and Martin. We then braved some windy conditions along Cobham Drive, where Martin’s restored Austin, “Bubbles” featured in the photos.
I have always loved Massey Memorial, just beyond Shelley Bay, and we took the rest of the wedding party photos, in shelter, up amongst the white marble. The wedding quartet did a great job of keeping me entertained, and we gained a whole series of superb photos as result.
The Pines, with Shirley and Tony at the helm ( and as most of you who follow this blog know, I think The Pines is an exceptional wedding venue) produced a sumptuous meal in fantastic surroundings, where family and guests enjoyed each others warmth, humour, friendship.
The dancing was spectacular, and so was the view out to Cook Strait, where we gained some lovely last light images. I feel very, honoured, and lucky that in the last six months all our weddings have been very different from each other, but equally special without exception.
