Jess, Alicia, Doug and I have all been pretty full on with our weddings over the last 3 months. It’s been great, and the results we have been achieving have been fantastic.

Jess and Alicia recently photographed Charlotte and Richard’s wedding at the stunning Boomrock Lodge, and this is what she had to say about the day:

The ceremony was at Old St Pauls, followed by the reception out at Boomrock. The weather was ghastly, absolutely pouring down as the bride was getting ready & arrived at the wedding. Then it cleared up just a wee bit after the ceremony, when just Charlotte, Richard, and I went for creative pics. The rest of the guests & bridal party went out on the bus to a secret location, which was Boomrock. The weather was awful, but it didnt stop the guests getting out & playing golf, or doing some clay shooting, geared up with jackets & gumboots.

Richard was a character, and we all had laughs throughout the whole day, while Charlotte was just lovely and unphased by the atrocious weather. They wanted to go somewhere grungy like a graffitti alleyway, but the weather did not permit it, instead we found a small dark cove which was perfect. It had just enough cover & even a safety light, to light them up. And with the help of a friend (who had to hold Charlottes dress up so it wouldnt get dirty) we got a few unique shots. I also nearly got pooped on by a pigeon sitting above me! It was a real close call. A lady walked past and told us ” surely there were better places to photograph than here” which was pretty funny to say the least!

It goes without saying that the team at Boomrock excelled, and everyone had a thoroughly awesome time.

It was a great day, and I had so much fun with Richard & Charlotte, and am looking forward to next year I will be photographing Charlotte’s sister Victoria, & Gareth.
