In the past few years Photography by Woolf, and Simon Woolf in particular have conducted photographic workshops and seminars all around New Zealand, and on a number of photographic topics. Kaikoura, Akaroa, Gisborne, Tauranga, and The West Coast, have been popular destinations.

Recently we travelled down to The Bay of Many Coves Resort, in The Marlborough Sounds. It was a multi faceted trip, that involved photographing the resort, and its environs, and also doing a reccy for a series of forthcoming seminars and workshops. The area is just a photographers paradise, and awe inspiring.

The Bay of Many Coves is one of New Zealand’s unsung gems. Its natural beauty, combined with a resort complex that is second to none, is stunning.

In late June, early July, we will be conducting a specialised workshop at The Bay of Many Coves. We will be concentrating on primarily the nature, and particularly the birdlife in the area. Macro aspects will be a feature, while just to emphasise diversity, and a varied approach we will cover areas of Food Photography and Photo Editing, plus AV Production.

The weekend workshops will commence of a Friday evening and conclude on Sunday afternoon/evening, and will be limited to 15 participants. Their will also be a partners rate, and I can assure you The Bay of Many Coves represents a great opportunity to bring your partner along, and share in some of the resorts activities, or just to have some well deserved winter R and R.

We are putting a little programme and costings together in the next wee while, so watch this space. In the meantime enjoy a few photos that I took on the way, and I hope they inspire you to think about spending a weekend away with your photography at The Bay of Many Coves in the stunning Marlborough Sounds. I will also be popping a few more images up on this blog in the next week or so.

I have just listed three cuisine images from The Bay of Many Coves. Jonathon, BOMC’s Chief Chef is an artist in every way, and not only is he, and The BOMC’s talented creatively, but it also all tastes delectable, and is sumptuous.

Our first weekend workshop at The Bay of Many Coves will be on July 2-4, and will have strictly limited numbers. Watch this space for programme details.

For more info give Simon a ring on ( 04 9176861) or if you would like to spend some time at The Bay of Many Coves click on this link and you will go through to their website.

ps The whole Bay of Many Coves experience is very special with the atmosphere and cuisine being world class.
