It’s Graduation time here in Wellington, and we have some great specials going .  Our Graduation Photography is tailored from the traditional through to the more contemporary, and you can even have a blend of styles within your sessions. After a face to face meeting, and then a series of emails back and forth, we realised that to book their wedding would not be a “good thing” both ways, and irrespective, we decided not to take their booking.

For any photographer to be able to gain great results on a wedding day there needs to be a good working relationship. We generally excel in that department, and our lines of communication with our wedding couples are first class. We base our relationships on being fair, reasonable and professional. The continual bargaining, which occurred, meant our relationship with the couple was eroded, and had we booked their wedding, it would have been difficult to work together prior to, during ,or after the wedding. We pride ourselves on giving our wedding couples just the best time on their big day. It is not something we would ever compromise on. If there isn’t a mutual respect, and great lines of communication it is always going to be a difficult situation.

We are not a “Shoot and Burn” photographic studio. We care about our imagery, respect and value how we take our photos, and also how we archive our files.  We specialise in awesome presentation of hard copy photography. Our albums, coffee table books and photographs are exquisite, unique to each wedding couple, and will last the test of time. We get fantastic feedback on what we produce.

We don’t wish to get in the situation where a number of other photographers have gone. They have provided a “Shoot and Burn” approach to a wedding, only to find that the photos they took, were then printed cheaply/or didn’t last. Ultimately their  reputation was tarnished.

 We place a lot of time and effort into preparation for our weddings. Our experience, particularly on poor weather days counts for a lot, and we always have back ups and contingencies.  We also place a big emphasis on design, presentation and service after a wedding.

Generally our couples value what we achieve, and are prepared to pay a fair and reasonable price for what we offer.

You don’t stay in business very long, or win the awards and accolades we have gained, by being cheap.

We love what we do, and are passionate about delivering great wedding photography, however we are not going to erode our industry, or ourselves by offering cheap options where quality could be compromised.

We recieve many emails every week asking for only pricing. We try our best to gain “face to face” meetings with our wedding couples. This is because we prefer to show our couples the products and services we provide in comparison with the prices we charge. That way they are able to compare “apples with apples”. You can only learn a certain amount via a website or from an email. Face to face is best.

Photography by Woolf have always been open to negotiation, re our products and services. Our off peak/ winter and Sunday wedding coverages all have a great deal of savings attached.  We have also been known to offer some great specials at peak times dependent on circumstances.

Our wedding photography has been treasured over a number of generations. We work hard to keep ahead of the field, and be one of the best wedding photography studios in Wellington, and New Zealand.

Your wedding photography represents potentially the only lasting memories of  such an important day. You can take the risk of choosing a “Shoot and Burn” wedding photography option, or choose  your wedding photography from a studio like Photography by Woolf, who are professional, who offer true value, and who are not cheap. Oh and comparitively speaking Photography by Woolf are not expensive either!
