"GET SHOOTING" - a Talk by Simon Woolf

Next Thursday February 11th I have been asked by The Wellington Photographic Society to present a motivational illustrated talk on What Inspires Me?

That's a pretty open ended question, as many of you are aware of how diverse my photography is, and how passionate and prolific I tend to be! What is really great is that The Wellington Photographic Society has extended an open invitation to any of my friends and colleagues to come along for the evening.

Facebook friends, and even friends of friends are welcome! The meeting is being held at The Tararua Tramping Club, 4 Moncrieff St, in Mt Victoria. 7.30pm Kick off.

It should be a great night. If you would like to please bring a camera that would be good, as you just never know when it maybe needed ... Funny that! Oh, and if you can't get to the meeting, and would like to be part of a day of Photography and Fun, on Saturday February13th I'm involved in a Landscape Nature Workshop, with some Doco photography, thrown in for good measure. FB me offline if you are interested in joining the action.

Weekend workshop at bay of many coves

Two full days with Simon Woolf at the superb Bay Of Many Coves Resort- you will not want to miss it!

Here are a few words from Simon to get you underway:

"Well it is less than a week out, and our workshop begins. Last year we rocked, and all going well,  with some good planning, and a little luck, this years’ experience will be equally memorable, if not more so. I am really looking forward to meeting those of you I haven't met before, and reacquainting with those of who I have already met previously.

The weather forecast is reasonable, and all going well we will gain some neat light to work with. It does get quite cool at night in "The Sounds" so warm clothing is essential. Good walking shoes or boots, and wet weather gear are also pretty necessary. We try and cater to most contingencies, and your comfort and safety is a prime concern to our team. Oh, and this weekend is a totally team orientated event, where we all assist in making sure we all have an awesome time!

You will find that "fun" is an important aspect of our photography and the weekend, Through fun you will learn heaps, be challenged, and have a neat time in the process."
