Jess has been full on with weddings of late,  and recently she photographed Kerryn and Stephen at the stunning Ohariu Farm. Jess gained some lovely imagery, and on a day which was windswept and rather cool, to say the least. The mark of a fantastic photographer is to be able to gain totally great photos in any conditions.  Jess achieved this, plus some at Kerryn and Stephen’s wedding.

Jess described Kerryn and Stephens’ wedding as below:

I arrived to photograph Kerryn & her bridesmaid Kylie getting ready at the house. There was a beautiful hallway with natural light streaming in perfect for some stunning shots of the bride. While looking around Kerryn & Stephens walls there are were some really awesome shots of African animals hanging on the walls. Kerryn & her mum are quite the photographers themselves. The ceremony was to be held at Ohariu farm on the hill top but as it was so incredibly windy it was moved inside by the fireplace which was nice & cosy.  Afterwards we braved the wind for some shots with the windswept scenery on the farm.

Stephen & Kerryn are rather fond of the wedding shots of the bride & groom small in the frame amongst large sweeping landscapes. We ventured into the surrounding hills & achieved some impressive shots with this look in mind. We avoided the rain & headed for shelter in the woolshed down the road for the last few shots. Then back to the reception for the scrummy buffet that Jude & the team had laid out.  I left everyone enjoying their food & laughing into the night.
